Book 09 Ul’Mutakabbir

The Ninth Book of the Dead called the Book of

Ul’ Mutakabbir

Ul’ Mutakabbir

[1] I am He who sees everything and everyone as base in ordinary relation to myself.

[2] I see others as the king looks upon his servants and his subjects.

He is known a the Mighty Doer, as One Who is Supremely Great, he is Exalted and Glorious.

This is big, huge massive beyond the beyond. These Books of the Dead in the ABD Guidebook serve us as introductions to the 99 names of God. We have a list of those here.

We are being introduced to the various attributes that are the manifestation of the Holy Absolute. It is ONE, there is no other. But, upon manifestation, those attributes take form. Each tradition exhibits the necessity to name those attributes. In Islam, they settled upon 99 names (plus one), in the Hebrew tradition, there are Mystical Hebrew Names of God hidden within the sacred alphabet, the Christian mystics float poetically as they attempt to name the direct experience with the Higher.

For our part, we are seekers on the path we ‘sense’ the magnitude of the divine, at times, but with direct naming we can NOW start to see components of the Divine Manifestation. With U’Matakabbir, we concentrate on the attribute of Magnificence. High Glory, the King of Kings.

We are gently introduced to such a powerful subject when, then we are instructed as to where we are in the Map. We are at a place called [4]“This is the instruction for the seventh day of the unfolding of the primal forms of Consciousness into their absolute forms in Reality.”

Okay, it is good to know where you are on the Map. (it is important to always remember, there is a map, and you are on it.)

The Ninth Book of the Dead unfolds with startling information for the voyager. When you knock on this door, the Guides hear your call and arrive. They are “the beings who hold knowledge”[5], the Supreme Holder of Knowledge  [7] appears along with the form of the Divine Mother [8], and the Holder of Knowledge of the Great Symbol [9]  and finally, the eight female guides of the places of burial.[10]

We are greeted with sounds so immense as to confound you [11]. We see then the five-colored radiation of cleansing along with the refuge of the soft green light of the brute world.

One task of our life learning can be to know, that even during the dark fires of the brute world, even in each event of lower rebirth, know… know NOW that the hand of the Divine is there as well. Can I recall the hand of the Divine Mother? It is being offered in a gesture of help.
