The Fourth Book of the Dead Called the Book of

Ul’ Qudoos

In the 99 Names of God, Ul’Qudoos is known as THE PURE. (For a list of those names, click here 99 Names of God.)

The most pure – “I am beyond any expansion of consciousness…I am so free from qualities and characteristics…”

“The ancient roots of the Arabic word Quddūs, as well as the Hebrew word Kadosh, point toward that which is set apart, different, that which is ‘other’. Thus, al-Quddūs is known as the One who is set apart, distinctly different and separate from all worldly imperfections, sins and faults, the One whose perfection and righteousness are so ‘other’ that they cannot be grasped by mankind, the truly Blessed One.”

Thus, Al’Qudoos is beyond our conception. This being is not just us, but better, but rather the pure ideal from which manifestation grows, but which it is not. These characteristics lie then in the Pure Land, the land that is blessed.

It is not unlike Plato’s Ideal. There is the thing which we can conceive of, but, then, there is its ideal form. “My present sense of self, the voyager, is in reality the void itself, having no qualities or characteristics.”

Our approach to the penetration of the ABD Guidebook has been to form sub-groups. Those sub-groups then work to penetrate the “Book of the Dead” they have selected. We are currently in the midst of the presentation of the fourth book of the Dead. (Book One – Ul’Lah is here. Book Two – Ur-Rachman is here., and Book Three – Ul-Malik is here. )

Each group gets together, and gradually through mutual work on a core topic, they form a Group. Once the Group has taken shape it starts to understand the method to present the material offered forth by the manifestation of God inherent with each book.

The Group that has formed around book four is as unique as each preceding group. Their approach has been to take selected verses and present a response to that verse. I will provide a few “snippets” of that work here. You can see the full work in the presentation material below.

Verse 1 – We can agree that “not knowing” is usually, if not always, a precursor to new learning, that a state of receptivity is essential to understanding.

Verse 4 – Everything revolves around man himself/herself, a baby cries- what does the man feel about that? …The idea of man’s own perfection is nothing but an “idea”.

Verse 11 – For me the transit space is disheartening, it leaves me with a feeling of emptiness and deep sadness. … Why am i here again and what’s next? …Note to the present self, change your view just a few degrees.
