The Exercise:
Our assignment is to read chambers 4-6 to each other. We will read to a friend and we will have that friend then, read to us. We will directly experience the role of the Guide and its inherent duties. We will then switch roles and work to stand in the place of the Voyager, receiving information from our Guide.
As we do this exercise, we will then work together to determine whether the information given in those Chambers is reflected in our present day lives.
Chamber 4 – “With my labyrinth voyaging senses recovered.” (In what manner does your sensing mechanism reflect the clause – My Labyrinth voyager senses, recovered?) The chamber goes on to indicate There is a “brilliant, blinding blue radiation… burning away those automatic habits of human primate life and attachments to the organic world.” This is the cleansing radiation of this chamber. Do you see your day unfolding such that you are placed in a situation whereby the habits of human primate life, are being challenged? Where they are being burned away?
But, there is the soft white light, offering refuge… what does that mean for you? How does one seek refuge from the cleansing blue radiation?
Chamber 5 – Here we emerge under the influence of “the power of violence and anger.” We are made aware of “a brilliant white radiation … bathing me in a harsh, biting acid-like cleansing atmosphere… dissolving away all vestiges of violence, anger and hatred.” Certainly we can see anger and violence and hatred emerge during our days… when we pause and do not yield to their ‘charm’ do we not feel the pressure of the White Light?
Or we can take refuge in the soft, seductive smoky light… we give in and bathe ourselves in our indulgence in anger and hatred.
Chamber 6 – Here we are confronted with the first signs of Pride. A brilliant yellow radiation strikes … with harsh and savage intensity. Do we not see moments of pride emerging from within us? Do you see the moment when you choose to select pride? It is ever so subtle, the choice point is what I refer to. It is so subtle, we mostly miss it… but, If we hold against the power of pride, we are burned with a cleansing radiation, that cleanses us for a moment.
Or, we can take refuge in the soft blue light, opening the path back into the human dimension. Human, oh so human.
