Providing Hospitality

During our time together last week our discussion of Work of Groups stumbled upon the concept of Hospitality. We thought we would take the time this evening to focus on this important principle.

You should bring what you have learned about hospitality. How do your currently perform this act. You may want to look up what the Ancient Greeks says about Xenia. Or you may read about the Tree of Jericho.
When a guest arrives, how long should you provide hospitality to that guest. What is the role of the Guest in the interplay between the Host and the Guest?

In Secret Talks VII by E.J. Gold, there is a chapter on Hospitality (Chapter 4). Take a look through the Joy of Sacrifice.

What if your job is as a receptionist? Or, better yet, you man the phones as part of Customer Service for your Company. How then, would you perform the sacred act of Hospitality?

How do you bring the sacred into your everyday life? Does the act of Hospitality provide a portal for your Work?
